David is a Cuban-American visual designer born, raised, and based in Miami. His practice spans art direction, conceptual design, illustration, and branding, with collaborations that include Nike, Red Bull, Burger King, and the Miami HEAT. A graduate of the University of Miami with a BFA, he brings a sharp creative sensibility informed by industry experience and a deep connection to visual storytelling.
His personal work takes a grounded, sincere look at Cuban identity. With family roots in La Habana and Sancti Spíritus and an upbringing shaped by Miami’s Cuban household rhythms, David draws heavily on themes of nostalgia—exploring everyday life through the stories and experiences that defined his youth. His work often captures the unique blending of South Florida’s eclectic influences with his Cuban heritage—resulting in pieces that feel both intimate and resonant.
As a proud resident of Little Havana, David brings a personal lens to this project. We hope you’ve enjoyed Foto Comercio’s collaboration with him—an authentic, vintage-inspired Cuban photo experience brought to life in the heart of Miami’s vibrant Calle Ocho.
